Progress shots?

Should I take weekly, fortnightly or monthly progress photos for the sixteen week streak?

oh as for the progress shots... I would take them weekly... but wait til monthly to post them side by side... might only be gradual but if you cant see much diff take out the ones between monthly...
I will have 3 months between mine for my LITS challenge... so hopefull there will be a detectable difference...

It's ok. I'm a slackarse too! I read and forget to comment usually.

And I do forget how much support I do have. sometiems the brain gets stuck ont he negative. how far away everyone is, how much I'm not doing, etc. And then you end up with what you saw. Me being very negative. (Didn't realise quite how megative until your comment and I read back through recent posts.) Blech! I was wallowing wasn't I? LOL

I tru;ly believe that daily exercise for me is key to lose weight. If I don't do it every day I end up poncing around and only doing it once a week or less. Kick arse? Let's hope so!

Love Tassie. That's another thing we were going to do last trip, go over on the ferry and tour around. But, my aunt said come on up to her place in New South, so we went. (Free accomodation makes it so much easier! Certianly couldn't have got my inlaws to come over if they weren't all staying with my family this trip. Between all of us there'll be 8-11 adults and two kids and a dog... Full house or what?)

Oooh that'd be ace if you came on over to the mainland. ;)
That's something we can all aim for! Be fit and healthy for a gathering at the end of this year or early next year!

Big hugs back atcha. Feeling much better honestly. Got no choice gees louise, I know you guys'll kick my bum now if I forfeit meeting up with yas. LOL

Great idea for the progress photos. I'm gonna go with that!

I personally reckon that the further apart you leave the progress photos, the more progress you see. That being said, I like WBS's suggestion of taking them, but not doing the comparing thing. It'd be a little hard though, since I'd probably be tempted to take a squiz at them in the mean time.

I'm taking measurements every two wks but trying to really look at what happens 3 months out. I love progress photos so I say post them as much as possible! Lol! I think having each week side by side will be neat to have though.
Also, got your comment just now and THANK YOU for adding me! Such a nice feeling, just what I needed to hear (read).

I must admit, every week is a pain, but some times, when the scale hasn't budged for a few weeks, it's nice to see the comparison week by week. (if you're actually working out regularly that is.)
I like the display once a month, or whenever a goal has been passed, more dramatic change that way. lol I have been surprised in the past at how much change there can be in just seven days!

Do you measure yourself, or get your husband to do it?
I get my husband, I can't get the tape to stay in place properly. LOL

How about all yas that measure? Do you do it or does someone else?

Wanna_B_slim said...

i do my own... if I got Mark to do it... it would never get finished... hahahahah

I measure myself, he is the most unobservant man on the planet and even though I think I see lots of changes I don't think he sees anything. I think he would put the tape on me and do it differently (read: wrong! lol) and give me a heart attack with a gain of three inches or something. I did have him take pictures at one point but he did it from his heighth so it was sort of a looking down shot that was NOT flattering, in fact that was probably the last time I had him do that.

Mwuhahahahaha Nanette, that's half the fun, they have to stand there and measure you. It's so fun watching him try and control himself.

Ahhh! That's where having freckles and or tattoos comes in handy. ;) Distinguishing marks.
My weightloss is at the point where the measurements are a little odd now too. As bits are firming up and having less mass to them, they ride higher, so some weeks I actually show a gain in some parts, even though I know they're slimmer! Go figure eh?

Poor Alaskaboy, I boss him around terribly. Make sure he does the measurements and photos to MY wishes, no half-arsed stuff. Although he does like photography and is anal in some ways, so for him it's less of a hardship than for some men. (I'm the one who drives him nuts with a messy house!)

Any chance you could get hubby to try again, at the right angle for the shots, Erin?

The Husband did take some better shots but I think perhaps I just didn't like what I saw? Heh. Anyway, they are on my old laptop that died which I still have and am still lobbying to get my stuff moved off of-I had music on there that I found randomly on the net I want back and I would like to see those pics. I wish I had progress pics from when I first started out years ago, that would be the most dramatic. Since I love seeing other's photos I suppose it is only fitting that I dig some of my own out...I used to want a tattoo pre-Husband, he's not fond of the idea of me having one but I'm thinking about it again. I think maybe if I don't go with the half back piece I originally wanted it will be easier for him to swallow, lol.

I just quoted one of my favourite movies and, remembering your penchant for quoting some of my other faves, I was wondering if you like it too...

Ever seen Labyrinth with Jennifer ..... dang, can't think of her last name and David Bowie?

Reckon it'd be up your alley?

"The Husband did take some better shots but I think perhaps I just didn't like what I saw?"

I know what you mean exactly! Those intial pics, I cried. I couldn't believe I'd gotten so monstrously unhealthy. It shocked me so bad.
I will never go back to being like that again. Sure I've slipped a little this last couple weeks of being ill, but that's only to be expected.

"I wish I had progress pics from when I first started out years ago, that would be the most dramatic."

Any pics from everyday life? (sneaky ones people took when you weren't aware of it are great!) Even they can help show a difference. Would love to see whatever you can find.

I got my two tattoos pre-hubby and thought about getting another one after we were married, but he wasn't too keen on the idea, and I've never found one I liked enough, so just the two it shall remain. Mine's a quarter back piece, and I think I shocked his mennonite aunt by wearing a spaghetti strap wedding dress and proudly showing it for all the world to see. LOL

I was gonna hide it, but the dress I found was the perfect one for my figure and I looked gorgeous, ummed and ahhed but then said screw what anyone else thinks, that's my dress!

And you'd reckon right.

"You have no power over me" Nu-uh. He had lots of power over me. I had the hugest crush on him for years after seeing that movie. When I saw my first real life picture of him, it was a bit of a rude shock, he looked vastly different and not half as spunky. lol

I think it was Jenniger Connelly?

Labyrinth is still one of my all time favourite movies.

I loved Sir Didymus too. ;)
